I'm interested in hearing stories from people who have done volunteering holidays or internships at great ape sanctuaries. I've looked at many different options that are available, and it would be great to hear first hand stories from different experiences. Why did you choose the experience you did? Would you do it again?
I'm trying to organize a week stay at JGI Chimp Eden in South Africa for the week-long Chimpanzee Sanctuary course, it looks really interesting and I'm sure I will have a blast. I'd like to go for longer, but it's just money that gets in the way. I have money for flights that will get wasted if I don't use them, so I wanted to do something worthwhile. I'd rather go for one week than not go at all! In the future I'd like to do something much longer term, once I've finished uni I'd like to do a three month internship at one of the chimpanzee sanctuaries in the US.

Looks like I'm going to be going to Chimp Eden for two weeks now, very exciting! Here's a link for anyone who's interested in the programme: www.chimpeden.com/volunteers.asp

Sounds like lots of amazing people were there! I so wish I could've gone!!! What an experience, must have been so interesting.
I love your new signature, by the way! Arfur and Jess are so sweet together, it's lovely that they've stayed so close over the years. Simon is so handsome as usual!
